Coif w/Inside Leather Covered Ventail - Code 10
Product Description
This Code 10 (butted, mild steel) Coif is a great buy for the costumer on a budget. The ventail has a right to left closure and is leather edged (leather colors may vary). The ventail has a down to up closure and has a full leather lining (leather colors may vary).
Construction: Butted.
Ring Type: Round Wire
Material: 16ga. mild steel.
Finish: Zinc Plated.
Ring Internal Diameter: 8mm.
This is the most economical construction style of mail, as the cost of labor-intensive riveting is avoided. Butted mail has limited historical precedent but is fine for general costuming and role-playing where strict construction authenticity is not a requirement. It is not recommended for weapons-contact re-enactment. All rings are formed from round section wire and are 8mm internal diameter. Construction is in the 4 in 1 pattern.
